Reports – Revenue & Costs

Analyze project revenues, customer revenues, and profitability in the Revenue & Costs module.

The reports of the Revenue & Costs module are distributed across multiple sections in ZEP. Find them under Reports in the tabs Projects, Employees, and Departments.

Project Sales Volume

Path: Reports > Projects > Project Sales Volume (or Project Billing, depending on the license)

This report shows revenue per project for a selected period. It is based on the hourly and daily rates in the price tables and the recorded project times.

Available to administrators, controllers, and project managers with budget responsibility.

Customer Sales Volume

Path: Reports > Projects > Customer Sales Volume (or Customer Billing, depending on the license)

Customer revenue shows the revenue summary per customer across all assigned projects. The report can be printed with a signature block.

Available to administrators and controllers.

Price Overview

Path: Reports > Projects > Price Overview

Shows an overview of applicable price tables per project. Available to project managers with budget responsibility as well as administrators and controllers.

Project State Revenue

Path: Reports > Projects > Project state revenue

Compares Total Rates Internal (employee hours at internal rates) with planned and realized revenue. Provides insight into the profitability of individual projects.

Available to administrators and controllers. Not available in ZEP Clock.

Department Reports

Note: These reports are only available if the Departments module is licensed.

Department Costs

Path: Reports > Departments > Costs

Shows the total costs of a department broken down by month.

Cost Allocation

Path: Reports > Departments > Cost Allocation

Shows how costs are allocated between departments based on project-related internal services between departments.

Total Rates Internal

Path: Reports > Departments > total rates internal

Calculates the internal personnel costs of a department based on the stored internal hourly rates.
