With the ZEP Clock App, users have the possibility to stamp times and record absences via a mobile device.

The ZEP Clock App offers two different modes: Single-User and Multi-User mode.

In Single-User mode, one user is logged in who can stamp times for themselves and record absences.

In Multi-User mode, several users are displayed and can stamp times. This can be used, for example, on a tablet that is available on-site for all employees.

The app is available for both iOS and Android devices.

Dashboard

In the dashboard, every user has the possibility to obtain an overview of their own data.

  • Overview of the comparison between actual hours and target hours in weeks, months, and years.

  • Average hours per day

  • Overtime account

  • Overview of vacation days

  • Remaining leave

  • Vacation entitlement

  • Approved leave

Times

In the Times section, the user can clock in and start their working time. The working time can be ended via the "Stop" button.

The overview displays the daily total and all times stamped so far.

With the "+" button, the user can manually record a complete working time.

Multi-User Login

The multi-user login can be used, for example, for devices on-site. This allows all employees to clock in and out on the device using their own user account.

The login for multi-user mode can be carried out as follows:

QR Code

  • A new ZEP Clock App is created in the web browser under Administration > System > Device Management.

  • During creation, you can configure which users should be included and what information is displayed in the app.

  • Once the app is created, you will find the "i" icon in the browser, which opens a window displaying the QR code.

  • Via the "Email" icon, you can send the QR code to the selected users.

  • The QR code can then be scanned with the mobile phone.

PIN

  • The alternative to the QR code is the manual entry of the URL and the displayed PIN code.

  • Additionally, you can go to Employees, select the employees, and assign an individual PIN code for multi-user use.

In this case, a PIN code prompt occurs when clocking in.

Absences

The Absences section shows you an overview of vacation days and provides the option to record every configured type of absence.

Using the "+" symbol, the tab for recording the absence can be accessed; here, the reason for the absence and the time period are selected. Afterward, the absence appears in the overview.

Single-User Login

The single-user login is carried out by each user themselves.

There are 3 different ways to log in to the app:

QR Code

  • If the user is logged into the web browser, they can access the "Interfaces" section via "My Profile" in the top right corner.

  • Here, the user will find the QR code for logging in, which can be scanned with a mobile phone.

  • The URL will then be pre-filled in the app.

  • Subsequently, the username and password for the web browser are entered.

Username & Password

  • Here, the user must manually enter the URL of the ZEP instance, the username, and the password.

PIN

  • Information regarding the "PIN" can be found under the multi-user login.
