Resource Planning comes with its own area in the administration. You reach it through Administration > Planning > Settings. There you define company-wide whether employees are informed about changes to their planning.

The setting Notify employees when their scheduling has been changed controls whether ZEP notifies the person concerned as soon as their planning changes. It is switched off by default. Activate it if the people you plan should learn about changes without having to check their own planning.

When the setting is active, employees receive a notification in ZEP as soon as someone creates, changes, or removes their planning. Clicking it takes them straight to their own planning. Without it, employees notice a change only when they open their own planning. This matters above all when several people plan or when schedules change at short notice.

ZEP does not notify on every single change. Changes are collected for one hour and then delivered as a bundle. If several projects are affected, each project appears on its own line with its period. Anyone adjusting several plannings in a row therefore does not trigger a flood of individual notifications.

The setting applies company-wide to every employee who is planned in Resource Planning. There is no exception for individual people, departments, or projects. If you want the notification for part of your team only, this setting cannot express that.

The area is visible only to users who are allowed to view the administration in the roles and permissions matrix. Saving a change additionally requires the permission to edit the administration. If either permission is missing, ZEP hides the area or refuses to save.
