With the Linear integration, you transfer projects and tickets from ZEP to Linear. ZEP is the leading system: data flows exclusively from ZEP to Linear – importing data from Linear into ZEP is not supported.

Note: The Linear integration is available in ZEP Compact and ZEP Professional. It is not included in ZEP Clock.
Prerequisites
To set up the integration, you need:
Access to the Interface Marketplace in ZEP
A Linear account with sufficient permissions
The ability to authorize an OAuth2 connection in the browser
Setting up the integration
In ZEP, go to Administration > Interfaces → Interface Marketplace. Select Linear and click Add.
After booking, configure the following:
Establish OAuth2 connection: Click Connect. You will be redirected to Linear and grant ZEP a one-time authorization to transfer data.
Configure status mapping: Define which ZEP ticket status corresponds to which Linear status. The mapping is stored in the integration settings.
Note: If a Linear status is deleted or renamed, update the status mapping in the integration settings to ensure synchronization continues correctly.

Projects
ZEP transfers projects to Linear. The following is transferred:
Name of the project
Key (short designation)
Tickets
ZEP transfers ticket information to Linear. Changes to tickets in ZEP are automatically forwarded to Linear – keeping ticket information in Linear up to date when it is updated in ZEP.
Status mapping
The configurable status mapping assigns a matching Linear status to each ZEP ticket status. The following ZEP default statuses are available for mapping:

Synchronization and log
ZEP synchronizes the data hourly in the background. Projects and tickets are created in Linear on import and automatically updated when changed in ZEP.
