Memtime

Learn how to connect ZEP with Memtime to automatically transfer time entries from Memtime to ZEP.

Written by Benny Hahn

With the Memtime connection, you record time entries in Memtime and they are automatically transferred to your ZEP projects. ZEP mirrors your projects, activities, and tasks in Memtime for fast and accurate time assignment.

Memtime automatically records which programs, documents, and meetings you work in and presents your activities as a clear daily timeline. Manual transfer of time entries to ZEP is not necessary – Memtime handles this automatically.

Data Transfer

The connection between ZEP and Memtime is bidirectional:

  • ZEP → Memtime: ZEP transfers its project structure to Memtime – including projects, activities, tasks, and tickets. These are available directly in Memtime so you can assign time entries accurately.

  • Memtime → ZEP: Time entries you assign to a ZEP project in Memtime are automatically recorded in ZEP in the correct location. No manual follow-up in ZEP is required.

Set up synchronization

After authentication, you can configure various options in the Connected App settings for ZEP:

  • Automatic synchronization: Defines whether projects and time entries are synchronized automatically between ZEP and Memtime or triggered manually.

  • Project name display: Controls how projects are labeled in the Memtime interface – for example, short code only, name only, or both.

  • Project selection: You can restrict which ZEP projects are visible in Memtime – for example, only active projects or only projects you are assigned to.

  • Tasks, tickets, and subtasks: Controls the level of detail at which time entries can be booked in ZEP.

Tip: For time entries on a ZEP project to be bookable in Memtime, the project must be in active status in ZEP, and project employees and tasks must be assigned.
