For the operation of the terminal, you may require the following additional accessories:

  • RFID Key Fobs: Available in packs of 10 including a metal ring, in various colors. Dimensions approx. 40mm x 32mm x 4mm each.

  • RFID Cards: Credit card size, available in packs of 10. Dimensions approx. 86mm x 54mm x 1mm each.

  • PoE Adapter: For connection via Power over Ethernet (PoE) according to IEEE 802.3af, we offer an adapter with a Micro-USB connector (Input: Ethernet PoE 10/100 Mbit/s, Output: 5V= 2A Micro-USB and RJ45 Ethernet 10/100Mbit/s).

  • Wall Mounting Kit: For concealed wall mounting of the PoE adapter, a wall mounting kit is available consisting of a wall mounting plate (approx. 2.5cm depth) and a 20cm network cable. This allows the PoE adapter to be accommodated behind the terminal when wall-mounted.

  • Flush-Mounted Power Supply: For in-wall installation, we offer a suitable flush-mounted power supply with a Micro-USB connector (Input: 100-240V/50-60 Hz, Output: 5V= 2.4A Micro-USB).

    • Note: Installation and commissioning must only be carried out by qualified electrical personnel in accordance with DIN VDE 0100.

Prerequisites and Intended Use

The ZEP Terminal is designed exclusively for use with the ZEP time tracking software (including the Attendance module) or ZEP Clock for time tracking via RFID key fobs or cards.

You require access to your ZEP instance via https://www.zeponline.de/zepXXX (where XXX generally represents your company name). Terminal usage must be activated within this ZEP instance.

Internet Connection: For operation, a stable internet connection is required via either:

WLAN: 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n (Note: No PSK/EAP support).

Ethernet Cable: DHCP or fixed IP, 10/100 Mbit/s.

Network Access: Direct access to https://www.zeponline.de/zepXXX via Port 443 (SSL) without a visible proxy server is mandatory.

Upon delivery, the ZEP Terminal is ready for use as a desktop device via WLAN without further assembly; it only requires a power outlet. A smartphone or laptop with WLAN capability is needed for the initial configuration of the terminal. Operation is permitted exclusively within the EU.
