Under Administration > Document Management > Settings, you control the module-wide behavior of Document Management. Two options are available.
User may add tags
This checkbox controls whether users may enter new tags when uploading or editing a document that are not yet present in the master data.
If the option is enabled, the tag field appears as a TagBox – users can select existing tags or type new ones directly. New tags are automatically added to the central tag list.
If the option is disabled, the field appears as a pure selection list – users can only choose from the values maintained under Administration > Document Management > Keywords. This setting is useful when you want to ensure a controlled tag vocabulary.
Show customer documents on the project as well
Note: This option is only available in ZEP Compact and ZEP Professional. In ZEP Clock, there are no project documents, so this setting is not applicable.
This checkbox controls whether, when opening the Documents tab on a project, the documents of the associated customer are also displayed.
If the option is enabled, persons with access to the project additionally see the customer documents of the customer assigned to the project – without going through the customer record. The respective person must also have read permission on the customer documents.
If the option is disabled, only the documents stored directly on the project are shown in the project view. Customer documents are only reachable via the customer record.
