With the Attendance module, employees can also record their attendance time, i.e. 'coming' and 'going' ('clocking in') using the ZEP Clock app. This attendance can be compared to the recorded project times (= working hours) in an evaluation.
The ZEP Clock app is a mobile time clock for smartphones and tablets with the Android operating system (from version 4.4) or iOS. In order to use the app, it must be connected to an existing ZEP account.
The employees who are to record their attendance using the ZEP Clock app must be assigned to the app. It can be installed on multiple "devices" (administration under Administration > System > Device management ). In addition, you must set the "consideration of attendance times" in the data for the relevant employees.
First basic settings:
Under Administration > Settings > Attendance, enter the following:

Who should be able to see the attendance times of other employees:
An employee needs at least the authorization level 'User with additional rights' to see the current attendance of all employees in My ZEP > Evaluations
If you want all employees to be able to see the attendance of all other employees under My ZEP > Reports , do not select the checkbox. If only employees with the authorization level "User with additional rights" or higher should be able to see the attendance, select the checkbox.
Employees may only view current attendance in their own department (and down into sub-departments) in My ZEP > Reports
Activate the checkbox if only the current attendance of other employees in your own and subordinate departments should be visible.
ZEP Clock only: Disable manual time recording
Activate the checkbox if employees should only record their times via the ZEP Clock app and/or the terminal or the web interface.
Should the employee be able to see and evaluate his or her own attendance times in ZEP:
For employees with the setting "Take attendance times into account", optionally set the following:
Coming/going evaluation in My ZEP > Offer evaluations
Display attendance for information during project time recording
Enter a recipient who should receive the information email if an error occurred while clocking in/out.
Specify whether an employee can manage their own Clock app in their profile.
