Transfer of Customer Data and Contacts from Salesforce
The Salesforce module enables the integration of ZEP with Salesforce and standardly supports the transfer of customers and contacts from Salesforce to ZEP.
Salesforce can be flexibly adapted to the needs of every company. Should the current scope of the Salesforce interface not meet your requirements, please feel free to contact us, and we will jointly explore the possibilities.
Transfer of Customer Data and Contacts from Salesforce:
Under Administration > Interfaces > Salesforce, you can enter your Salesforce access data into ZEP. After that, you can import the listed data from Salesforce to ZEP.

Salesforce is the leading system; you can no longer change any data in ZEP that you have imported from Salesforce. If you want to make changes, you must first remove the linkage to Salesforce for the corresponding customer using the button Remove Salesforce Customer Flag.
Since ZEP Version 6.5, the Delivery Address is also synchronized, and the standard address is set as the Billing Address.
Settings and Usage
Under Administration > Interfaces > Salesforce, you specify the following:
Salesforce Settings:
If you want to import Customers (Salesforce: Accounts) and Contacts (Salesforce: Contacts) from Salesforce to ZEP, you must enter and save your Salesforce access data here:
Username: Salesforce Username
Password: Salesforce Password
Token: Security Token
Manual Import:
If you are importing data for the first time from Salesforce to ZEP, you only have the button Import (complete)available for selection. With this import, all data from Salesforce is transferred to ZEP.
If you have already performed a complete import once, you can choose whether you only want to import the changes since the last import Import (from DD.MM.YYYY) or whether you want to perform a complete import again.
Salesforce is the leading system; you can no longer change any data in ZEP that you have imported from Salesforce. If you want to make changes, you must first remove the linkage to Salesforce for the corresponding customer using the button Remove Salesforce Customer Flag.
Mechanism for restricting the scope of data to be exchanged:
You can determine on the Salesforce side which customers (Accounts) should be imported into ZEP. If you add a custom field named "ZEP" in Salesforce, only the Accounts where this field is activated will be imported into ZEP. If you enter "false" in the Account field, Salesforce automatically creates an API name "ZEP__c" for this field. This name must not be renamed.
Setting up the custom field in Salesforce (Administrator rights):
setup
Customize (then in the right menu bar under Setup)
Accounts
Add custom field to Accounts
under Custom Account Fields & Relationships: "New" and follow the further steps:
select Checkbox as the data type
select "ZEP" as the Field Name and complete the procedure.
Linking and Unlinking ZEP and Salesforce Customers:
You can click Import from Salesforce Customer directly in the data of a selected customer, and by doing so, overwrite the ZEP customer with the customer from Salesforce. Only the customer number remains unchanged. To "Unlink," click Remove Salesforce Customer Flag.
